The Christmas Experience 2006

These photos were taken during my annual trip to Chicago for the Christmas holiday. Each picture has a caption including some sort of explanation of the circumstances of the photo. Please note I did not post the majority of these photos on Flickr as I am limited by the number of picts I can upload since I have a free account so I've opted to post them here.

There were also several videos that I shot at the same time I was taking pictures with my Canon which are included below. Note that some of these files are large and will take a moment to download before they'll play for you...

The Christmas Tree on Wego Trail

McParlands Xmas Sketch with my nephews Danny & Johnny

My dad with Fluff

Christmas Eve Chaos

Christmas Karaoke

Phil & I bowling at Arlington Lanes

Stay tuned for a quicktime slideshow of the christmas photos.

Buñ beats up on Ebby

Admittedly, not the best looking footage but it essentially captures what a brute Buñ can be on occasion to his sister Ebby. Like his daddy, Buñ will sometimes just start up some shit because he's bored.

As you may know, I've been playing with my buddy Ben Warren for a while now, mainly on bass, but for his newest album we wanted to take the performance to another level. Inspired by the war in Iraq and the current cultural climate of cozy indifference, I'll be playing "VJ" for the first time in my performance career as a visual mixer, editing and effecting a mass media bin of video clips on the fly. It's a new type of artistic expression for me, and I think Ben's music is very suiting to the visual mix of media abstractions that playing “VJ” can provide. John Crotteau (aka Johnny Onomatopoeia) will be joining us on drums and Ben Warren, of course, on guitar and lead vocals.

To give you an idea of what this might look and sounds like, here’s a mash-up sample for...

is an explosive indictment of the government and mass media's role in 'spreading the disease' - championing our democratic agenda while underhandedly profiting from war.

A mixed media overflow refracted through an abstract lense.

Please come see us take on this monster as we launch a series of these one-of-a-kind performances during the month December.
